Tae Bo
Tae Bo was created by former Karate champion
Billy Blanks. It has since become one of the most popular recent fitness
innovations. Tae Bo is a combination of Tae Kwon Do, boxing,
and dance, set to fast-paced hip-hop music. The exercises
are comprised of a choreographed sequence of kicks, punches,
and dance steps. Tae Bo is particularly effective in strengthening your
inner thighs and triceps. Keep in mind that Tae Bo
is an extremely high-impact workout, so be sure to stretch beforehand.
When using the Tae-Bo program as your
workout it is best to eat healthy by cutting out extra salt, fat, and
sugar. To keep your metabolism burning many say that you should eat
3 smaller meals a day with a snack in between. It's also important to
drink plenty of water. Tae-Bo is a total body workout and is also completely
modifiable. Don't worry if your balance is off at first. You can begin
the workout by holding onto a a piece of equipment such as
a chair for balance and your balance and coordination will improve with
continued practice of Tae-Bo. It is always best to consult your physician
before beginning Tae-Bo or any other fitness regime if you have any
medical questions or prior medical histories of any kind.
When practicing Tae-Bo there's not really
any fitness equipment you absolutely need
for a good workout. If you need something for balance, as we mentioned,
a chair will do.
